For most everyone, accountability is easier with the assistance of another person.

I decide to take a walk each day on my own.

I take a walk on Monday.

I take a walk on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, it's cold outside, so I decide not to take a walk.

But what if I decide to take a walk each day with my friend Lewis.

Lewis and I take a walk on Monday.

Lewis and I take a walk on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, it's cold outside, and I don't want to take a walk.

But Lewis is expecting me at 8:30 AM at Fresh Pond for our walk.

I take a walk on Wednesday.

Accountability is easier with the assistance of others. Others helping you does not make you weaker. Rather, it makes you stronger. And it is a two-way street: others help you and you help others.

We all benefit by building accountability with others into our lives.
